In the Duisburg swimming stadium, medals and placings are up for grabs in the butterfly, freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke disciplines. At the comparative competition of the seven swimming districts of the NRW Swimming Association in the 2008 to 2011 age groups, the very young will dive into the big stage of the Ruhr Games. 

At the Ruhr Games 23 there will also be an inclusion relay for the first time, in which swimmers and para-swimmers will compete together.
