100-metre sprint, long jump or discus throw: Athletes compete in many disciplines at the LVN Youth Championships. Athletics is also the sport with the largest number of participants at the Ruhr Games. In cooperation with the Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia (BRSNW), para-competitions are also integrated into the North Rhine Championships, with para-athletes competing in four selected disciplines.
