The sport of water polo is considered the oldest team sport in Olympic history and is characterised not only by enormous physicality and outstanding swimming ability, but also by tactical and technical skills. 

An international invitational tournament will be held at the ASCD's outdoor pool in the Duisburg Sportpark, with high-quality club teams taking part. In addition to five international club teams, a NRW selection will also be competing.
